Tab Bard

Privacy policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

Tab Bard runs entirely in your browser. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and makes no network requests.

What it reads

It reads your open windows, tabs (titles, URLs, favicons), and tab groups through the browser's extension APIs. What each permission is for.

What it stores

It saves your settings, the names, colors, and order you give windows, and when tabs were opened, in the browser's local extension storage on your device. To recognize your windows and tabs after the browser restarts, it keeps their URLs with them, and deletes a closed window's entry after 30 days.

What it shares

Tab Bard doesn't transmit, sell, or share this data. It uses it only to show and organize your tabs.

Removing your data

Removing Tab Bard deletes everything it stored. It then opens a short feedback page on this website. The page's address carries nothing about your tabs, and GoatCounter counts which of its buttons you click.

Chrome Web Store

Tab Bard's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google gives the developer totals for visits to the store listing, installs, and removals, through the Developer Dashboard and Google Analytics. The store button on this site has a tag in its link, so those totals can show visits that came from here.

Firefox Add-ons

Tab Bard's listing there declares that it collects no data. Mozilla gives the developer totals for downloads and users of the listing.

This website

This site counts visits and clicks with GoatCounter and sets no cookies.
